The club-ready dance-pop track finds the London-based rapper teaming up with producers Cosha, Karma Kid and Sega Bodega. It marks her first new music since the April release of 'Nymph_o', the deluxe/remix edition of her 2022 LP 'Nymph'. She said:
"Originally a song we’d made around the same time as some of the album tracks but I decided to hold this one back.
"I’ve enjoyed teasing this one at festivals and shows while still in demo mode for over a year already with the idea of somehow infusing the energy of the crowd into this final version of the song—Thicc is fun and carefree and definitely a tease—all the classic traits of club shy infused into one track."
Shygirl will embark on the European leg of her Nymph Part 2 World Tour later in November. The run includes UK shows in London, Glasgow, Bristol and Brighton between December 2 and 6. Tickets are on sale now.
