Big Thief's Adrianne Lenker Announces Solo LP 'Bright Future' With New Single Sadness As A Gift

Adrianne Lenker has announced a new solo album.
'Bright Future' is due out through 4AD on March 22, following up her last solo releases, 'Songs' and 'Instrumentals', which both came out in 2020.
The Big Thief vocalist and guitarist previously teased the project with the lead single Ruined, with another taster shared today in the form of the intimate country-folk track Sadness As A Gift.
Co-produced and engineered by Philip Weinrobe, the LP will also include the original recording of Big Thief's 2023 single Vampire Empire.
Lenker has also announced a new run of North American tour dates for June and November, with Steve Fisher, Twain, Nick Hakim, and Suzanne Vallie opening select dates. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time tomorrow (January 19).
She also has UK and European dates in the diary for spring. Tickets for those gigs are already on sale.
Big Thief, meanwhile, put out their most recent album, 'Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You', in 2022.
