The Horrors Announce Sixth Album 'Night Life', Share First Single The Silence That Remains

The Horrors have laid out plans for their sixth studio album.
'Night Life' will arrive through Fiction Records on March 21, following up 2021's EPs, 'Lout' and 'Against The Blade', and their 2017 LP, 'V'. Produced by Yves Rothman, it was recorded between Los Angeles and London, following initial demos that began in bassist Rhys Webb's basement flat in North London.
Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the single The Silence That Remains, which offers a gothic aesthetic through skittering percussion, glacial guitars and droning, industrial synths. It's guided by eerie vocals from frontman Faris Badwan and new keyboardist Amelia Kidd. The quartet said:
"The Silence That Remains is a 3am insomnia walk through the city, retracing our steps and putting the past to bed. Our new chapter is beginning and we’re looking forward to taking you with us. The Horrors are never-ending."
Now centred around the core duo of Badwan and Webb, as the band enters a new era with Kidd on keys and Telegram's Jordan Cook on drums, the album is the first not to feature all five original members.
The Horrors have also scheduled a run of intimate UK shows for the autumn, with stops lined up in Bedford, London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Blackpool, Bristol and Southend between November 27 and December 14. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on October 11.
