Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry Confirms Release Date For Debut Solo Album 'Vicious Creature'

Lauren Mayberry has confirmed the release date for her debut solo album.
Announced earlier this month, 'Vicious Creature' will arrive on December 6 via EMI Records in the UK and Island Records in the US. The Chvrches vocalist said:
"So much of this process has been an exercise in empowering myself to listen to my own intuition – something I really trained myself out of. That's ultimately why you start making things – because you felt a feeling, and you wanted to articulate that somehow. I think it was important for me to relearn that kind of independence, and recognise what I bring to any table I choose to sit at."
Mayberry announced the news on social media, revealing the record's cover art alongside a '80s pop-inspired new track, Crocodile Tears.
The Scottish singer and musician's previously released songs Something In The Air, Shame, Change Shapes and Are You Awake? will also feature on the LP, on which she worked with producers Greg Kurstin, Tobias Jesso Jr., Dan McDougall, Ethan Gruska and Matthew Korma, with the latter two co-writing and co-producing Crocodile Tears. Mayberry said:

Mayberry will support London Grammar on their UK and European tour in November, tickets for which are on sale now.
She'll also tour North America early next year, kicking things off on January 28 in San Diego and concluding on March 2 in Los Angeles. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (November 1).
