Celeste has returned with a new single, This Is Who I Am.
Arriving via Polydor Records, the cinematic, James Bond theme-esque track serves as the title song for the new Sky and Peacock Original series, The Day Of The Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. It showcases the British singer-songwriter's powerful vocals among rich instrumentation that swells to a crescendo through piano chords and sweeping strings.
It'll appear in the opening credits of the series, which premieres on Sky in the UK today (November) 7, with its US debut following on Peacock on November 14. Celeste said:
"This song has existed for a long time, and it felt almost unjust that circumstances didn’t allow it to come out four years ago. Now, with everything aligning, this moment serves as a powerful acknowledgment of something that, back then, felt unresolved."
The Brit Award-winner and Oscar nominee released the standalone single, To Love A Man, in 2022, which marked her first new material since the release of her 2021 debut album, 'Not Your Muse'.
