The line-up and venues have been announced for BBC Radio 6 Music Festival.

Performing at Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse this spring will be headliners Ezra Collective, who'll play a bespoke set celebrating youth clubs across the country on Thursday, Mogwai will perform with The KNDS Fairey Acid Brass on Friday, and Kae Tempest will premiere new material on Saturday. Ezra Collective said:

"2016 was the first time we ever got played on the station. Gilles Peterson gave us that precious moment. Since then it’s been a deep love for 6 Music, so to be in Manchester headlining their festival is a deep honour. See you on the dance floor."

"We are immensely excited to return to the 6 Music Festival and Manchester this year," commented Mogwai. "6 Music have always been champions of independent music and ourselves and it’s an honour to be part of this year’s celebration."

"I’ve got a new album and I can’t wait for people to hear it," Tempest revealed. "BBC Radio 6 Music have been such a crucial supporter of my music, I can’t wait for listeners to hear this new direction and for me to be able to say thank you to them for giving me so much over the years."

Also set to perform are Fat Dog, English Teacher and Perfume Genius, alongside DJ sets from 6 Music's Jamz Supernova, Tom Ravenscroft and SHERELLE. Fat Dog said: "Woof, woof 6 Music. Yet again proving your impeccable taste by inviting us to play your festival. We can’t wait. Going beast mode for this one."

English Teacher added: "The band wouldn’t be what it is without 6 Music and without Manchester. This is going to be a very special celebration."

The BBC 6 Music Festival, which first launched back in 2014, will return between March 26 and 29. Other events planned include a BBC Introducing night at YES featuring performances from Jasmine.4.t, Renee Stormz and Adult DVD, New Music Fix Live with 1-800 GIRLS, Florentino, Marie Davidson and NAINA.

Indie Forever will take over Band On The Wall with DJ sets from Sports Team, Lava La Rue, Steve Lamacq, Viagra Boys and Nathan Shepherd. Amber's will host Rave Forever in partnership with The Warehouse Project, delivering a night of bangers from SBTRKT (DJ set), Anish Kumar, nora, and Ayy Den.

Morning After Mix Live will take place at YES, where Jamz Supernova will broadcast her show live and Emma-Jean Thackray will perform a two-hour DJ set.

Lots of BBC Radio 6 Music presenters will broadcast their shows live from the festival, including Nick Grimshaw in his new Breakfast Show slot from February 24, and Lauren Laverne who starts her new mid-morning show on the same day. Highlights will also be broadcast on a 6 Music Festival Channel on BBC iPlayer from March 29.
