Little Simz will curate this year's Meltdown Festival.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the event will return to London's Southbank Centre for 11 days between June 12 and 22, with the Mercury Prize, BRIT and MOBO Award-winning rapper set to oversee the line-up of music and arts events. She said:

"I’m super excited to be the 2025 Meltdown festival curator! My team and I are preparing eleven days of art, music, workshops and more. So many incredible artists have curated this festival so it’s a true honour to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there."

The first names for this year's Meltdown Festival will be unveiled in the spring. Last year's event featured performances from Emeli Sandé, Lady Blackbird, Bruce Hornsby and Incognito.

Simz follows in the footsteps of previous curators Chaka Khan, Héloïse Letissier, Grace Jones, Nile Rodgers, Robert Smith, M.I.A., Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Yoko Ono, David Byrne, Massive Attack and Ornette Coleman.

She released the seventh instalment of her 'Drop' EP series in 2024. Her most recent album, and fifth overall, 'No Thank You', arrived in late 2022.
