The first acts have been revealed for the 2026 edition of London's Meltdown Festival.
Boasting a line-up curated by Grammy-winning British superstar Harry Styles, the event will return to the Southbank Centre for a mix of ticketed shows and free outdoor concerts, workshops and showcases between June 11 and 21.
Highlights include Warpait (pictured), playing their only show of 2026 on June 11 at the Royal Festival Hall, Stephen Fretwell on June 12 at the Purcell Room, Ninajirachi taking over the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer later that evening, and Kamasi Washington presenting two performances, Jazz Legends and Fearless Movement Live, at 3pm and 8pm, respectively, at Royal Festival Hall on June 14.
The Purcell Room will host Getdown Services on June 16, Beverly Glenn-Copeland will perfom at Royal Festival Hall on June 18, while Bar Italia will play Queen Elizabeth Hall the same day, followed by Orlando Weeks on June 19, the same day the Devonté Hynes Ensemble perform at Royal Festival Hall.
As part of his curation, Styles will also perform a headline show at the Royal Festival Hall on June 16, with further details to be revealed soon. Head here for the full line-up to date. Styles said:
“Music is my life, every artist involved in this year’s Meltdown festival means so much to me, both as a fan, and a musician. It’s a true honour to host legends who have paved the way for the generations that follow them, as well as new acts that have inspired me to push my creative boundaries. There are some incredibly unique, one-of-a-kind performances planned and the Southbank Centre is such a special place to experience live music. I hope attendees and performers have an unforgettable time this year at Meltdown. I can’t wait!"
Artistic Director of the Southbank Centre, Mark Ball said: "As we celebrate our 75th anniversary year at the Southbank Centre, it’s incredibly exciting to see the artists in Harry Styles’ Meltdown line-up come together. Their breadth speaks to Harry’s deep curiosity about music and his wide-ranging passions, moving fluidly across genres, generations and scenes.
"What’s striking is the sense of connection behind the programme: you can feel the care and intent in every choice. It’s a line-up - including of course Harry himself - that promises to deliver a classic Meltdown festival, and an opportunity to see Harry’s artistic world manifested in a brand new way for audiences.”
Further names for the Meltdown line-up are to be announced in the coming weeks, along with information about the free public programme.
Styles released his fourth album, 'Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally', last month. He'll support it with the Together, Together Tour, which features a staggering 12 nights at London's Wembley Stadium in June and July, and 30 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York between August and October. He also has multiple shows lined up in Amsterdam, Melbourne, Sydney, São Paulo and Mexico City. Get tickets here.
