Sam Fender has announced three major outdoor summer shows in the UK and Ireland as part of his ongoing People Watching Tour.
The North Shields artist will play huge gigs at Manchester's Wythenshawe Park on August 16, Edinburgh's Royal Highland Showgrounds on August 22 for the city's Summer Sessions, and Belfast's Boucher Road Playing Fields on August 28 as part of the Belfast Vital series.
Fender will be joined by Olivia Dean in Manchester and Edinburgh, with CMAT supporting in Belfast. Further support acts are still to be announced. Tickets go on general sale at 10am next Friday (February 21).
The summer dates extend the singer-songwriter's People Watching Tour, which heads to Europe and North America in the coming months, before his biggest headline show to date at London Stadium, and three hometown concerts in Newcastle, in June. Tickets for those dates are on sale now, and £1 from every ticket will be donated to the Music Venue Trust in support of grassroots venues.
The tour shares its name with Fender's third album, which is due out on February 21. He recently unveiled a moving video for the record's title track, featuring BAFTA Award-winning actor Andrew Scott. Other singles already unveiled include Arm's Length and Wild Long Lie, with a fourth song, Remember My Name, set to arrive tomorrow (February 14).
Fender was recently confirmed as the first headliner for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, which will take place at Liverpool's Sefton Park in May.
Last month, he was nominated for BRIT Awards in the Artist Of The Year and Alternative/Rock Act categories. Head here for a full list of nominations.
He has also been announced as this year's ambassador for Record Store Day UK, which takes place on April 12.
