Employed To Serve have shared the title track of their upcoming third album.

The eponymous track for 'Fallen Star', out on April 25 via Spinefarm, serves up aggressive guttural vocals over ferocious riff-led grooves, with passages of clean vocals from guitarist and co-vocalist Sammy Urwin. Frontwoman Justine Jones said:

"Fallen Star is about enduring the burn out of someone close to us. It can be devastating to look on helplessly as someone you care for continues to fly too close to the sun and not learn from it.

"Sometimes you need to just distance yourself and love them from afar. We felt it should be the title track as it thematically centers around the lyrics of the new record. Breaking bad habits and overcoming the challenges life throws our way."

On the song's accompanying video, she continued: "The music video for this song displays the space and isolation felt whilst writing the lyrics for this song. As the title track of the album we wanted to make the video look as expansive and ethereal as the song."

"We want to fly the flag for heavy metal and the traditions that it holds," Urwin added. "But at the same time we want to play our part in taking things forward."

The band announced the follow-up to 2021's 'Conquering', and shared its first single, Atonement, in January. Guests contributing to the record include Killswitch Engage's Jesse Leach on Whose Side Are You On? and Svalbard's Serena Cherry on Last Laugh.

They'll embark on the Fallen Star Tour in April, featuring support from Celestial Sanctuary and Burner. They'll also play 2000trees festival in July. Tickets are on sale.
