Doves Post New Single A Drop In The Ocean Ahead Of 'Constellations For The Lonely' Release

Doves have shared another track from their imminent sixth studio album.
Led by Jimi Goodwin's chilling vocals, with angular hooks and ethereal synths, A Drop In The Ocean serves as the fourth and final preview of 'Constellations For The Lonely', due out through EMI North this Friday (February 28). Drummer Andy Williams explained:
"It’s a song about us being insignificant, which can be helpful to remember when you’re going through a tough time. A problem can be so big in your head, but it can be comforting to remember how small we are in the grand scheme of things."
The song will be joined on the follow-up to 2020's 'The Universal Want' by the previously unveiled Saint Teresa, Cold Dreaming and Renegade.
Andy and Jez Williams are currently leading Doves on the road without Goodwin, who has chosen not to tour for health reasons. The band will continue the trek with a performance in Edinburgh tonight (February 26).
