The bright indie earworm serves as an ode to frontman Luke Pritchard's family, and marks the latest preview of the Brighton band's new album, 'Never/Know', due out on May 9 via Virgin Music Group.
Dreamy and reflective, the track arrives with a Dylan Nicholson-directed video, shot on the beaches of Sydney, Australia through an Instamatic lens. Pritchard said:
"We’re told how bad everything is at the moment. I said ‘I’m just going to refuse to not let these be the best years of my life’; I have a young family. The song is about me getting to a balanced life. It’s a love song about someone making me fall back in love with myself."
The Kooks previously teased the follow-up to 2022's '10 Tracks To Echo In The Dark' with the title track, of sorts, in January.
