Scissor Sisters have announced two intimate UK shows ahead of their spring anniversary tour.
In preparation for the arena trek, which celebrates 20 years of their self-tilted debut album, the New York band will headline Brighton's Concorde 2 and Bristol's SWX on May 7 and 8, respectively. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (March 28).
Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis will perform 2004's 'Scissor Sisters', as well as hits from 2006's 'Ta-Dah', 2010's 'Night Work' and 2012's 'Magic Hour', in Nottingham, Glasgow, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Manchester, London, Leeds, Birmingham, Belfast and Dublin between May 16 and 28. Support will come from Alison Goldfrapp.
Scissor Sisters co-vocalist Ana Matronic will not feature at the arena shows due to commitments to other projects. Read her statement here.
As part of the milestone celebrations, the album 'Scissor Sisters' was reissued on vinyl last November, with a deluxe expanded edition expected sometime this year. The group's most recent studio album is 2012's 'Magic Hour'.
They'll also play Glastonbury Festival in June, and support Pet Shop Boys at the Royal Sandringham Estate, before joining them as headliners of Hardwick Festival in August. Tickets are on sale now.
