Westside Cowboy have released a new single, Shells.

The dynamic indie track was produced by Lewis Whiting of 2024 Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher. The band said:

"Shells is broadly about acceptance. Whether it is the acknowledgment of what you have, or the acknowledgment that change is inevitable. The song is loosely based on a film, in which the character masters this. We have yet to reach this point though.

"I suppose it’s a little more earnest, and it starts slow, but it kicks in soon enough."

The song arrives just days after the Manchester quartet emerged triumphant from Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent competition, which has secured them a performance slot on the Woodsies Stage at the festival in June.

It follows the band's debut single, I’ve Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love (Until I Met You), which came out last November.

Westside Cowboy will play multiple festivals this spring and summer, ahead of dates supporting Blondshell, and Black County, New Road, in September and October, respectively. Head here for details. Tickets are on sale now.
