CMAT Shares New Single Take A Sexy Picture Of Me

CMAT has released a new single, Take a Sexy Picture of Me.

Offering commentary on the scrutiny women face in the public eye, the empowering and catchy pop track marks the second single from the Dublin artist's new album, 'Euro-Country', which is due out on August 29. CMAT explained:

"With the internet, every woman is now in the public eye. And no matter who you are, or what you look like, somebody will take umbrage with the fact that you even exist, and there's no escaping it. Take a Sexy Picture of Me was born out of that, because I held back for so long; not out of frustration or sadness for myself, because I AM in the public eye, but I realised it’s actually like this for every woman. It's all women, all the time. That song is me calling out anyone who criticised my weight or how I looked… and it’s one of the best songs I've ever made."

Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson previously teased the follow-up to 2023's 'Crazymad, For Me' with the single Running/Planning.

She'll support the LP with her previously scheduled Euro-Country Tour in the autumn, which includes her biggest headline UK show to date at London's O2 Academy Brixton on October 2. She'll also play her biggest Irish show at Dublin's 3Arena on December 5.

Ahead of the trek, CMAT will support Sam Fender at his stadium dates in London and Newcastle in June. She'll play multiple UK and European festivals this summer, including Glastonbury, which she'll warm up for with a handful of intimate shows between June 21 and 25. Tickets for those dates go on general sale at 10am on Friday (May 9).

The North American leg of the Euro-Country Tour will take place in September and includes a set at Atlanta's Shaky Knees Festival. Tickets are on sale now.
