SG Lewis has returned with a new single titled Back of My Mind.
Arriving via Forever Days/Positiva, the soaring track showcases the London via Los Angeles producer and DJ's signature blend of euphoric synth-driven grooves and breezy pop melodies, guided by emotive vocals from Lewis himself.
Co-written in LA alongside Julian Bunetta and Ed Drewett, and completed with long-time collaborator TEED, it serves as the first release from the next era of Lewis, who put out his second album, 'AudioLust & HigherLove', in 2023. He said:
"After spending last year focusing on ‘Club Heat’ and ‘Forever Days’, it felt right for the first taste of the forthcoming album to be a track that I’m singing on. Back of My Mind is a track about grief in all its forms, and the catharsis that can be provided by music. I wanted to create something introspective lyrically and it draws inspiration from a lot of the music I was listening to when I started producing, such as 90s trance and early prog house."
It follows 'Heat', his 2024 collaborative EP with Swedish pop artist Tove Lo, and their track with Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, Love Bites.
