Gruff Rhys Announces New Album 'Dim Probs', Unveils First Single Chwyn Chwyldroadol!

Gruff Rhys has announced a new album.
'Dim Probs', the Welsh-language follow-up to 2024's 'Sadness Sets Me Free', will be released on September 12 via Mogwai's Rock Action label. Introducing the record on social media, he said:
"I made the record at @AliChant’s studio with my acoustic guitar as main instrument. The songs have been dressed up in places by friends from my touring band (Kliph Scurlock, Osian Gwynedd, Huw V Williams and Gavin Fitzjohn) plus Cate Le Bon and H Hawkline add backing vocals on the side openers."
As a preview, the Super Furry Animals frontman has shared the album's first single, Chwyn Chwyldroadol!, which he describes as, "a meditation on existentialism and the beauty of domestic garden weeds." It arrives with a video by Ryan Eddleston, "using old 35mm film left over from the critically panned Robert De Niro and Al Pacino’s 2008 American detective thriller ‘Righteous Kill’."
Rhys will support the record with a Welsh tour this autumn. Tickets are on sale now.
