James Morrison has shared a new single, The Man Who Can’t Be Loved.
Released ahead of his forthcoming sixth studio album, 'Fight Another Day'—which is due to arrive on October 3—the track is a piano-led ballad showcasing the BRIT-winning singer-songwriter's signature blend of soul, blues and pop, exploring feelings of self-doubt within relationships. Morrison says,
“The Man Who Can’t Be Loved is a song about being in a place where you feel like you're not enough or you're inadequate in loving someone and questioning who you are.”
He co-wrote the song with Adam James and Kjetil Mørland, and co-produced it alongside longtime collaborator Mark Taylor. It is the second preview into his upcoming LP, following the title track that arrived alongside the announcement of 'Fight Another Day'.
Morrison will embark on a run of headline UK shows in September to support the album, which are on sale now.
