James Morrison has shared a fourth track from his upcoming album.
Delivering heartfelt lyrics, soulful vocals, and bright, melodic production, Cry Your Tears On Me marks the latest preview of 'Fight Another Day', due out on October 3. He said:
"I wrote this song for a friend — it’s about the breakdown of a relationship, when things have ended but there’s still love and care between two people. It’s that sentiment of saying, ‘If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I’ll be here.’ I wanted to wrap that emotion in an upbeat, feel-good pop sound with a summery vibe. Even though the story behind it is bittersweet, I think it carries a really warm and positive message."
The BRIT-winning singer-songwriter previously teased the record with the singles Little Wings, The Man Who Can't Be Loved and the title track.
Morrison will support the album with a handful of UK shows in September, then in October he'll head out on a run of in-store dates across England, performing acoustic sets and meeting fans for signings. Tickets are on sale now.
