James Morrison has shared another single from his upcoming sixth album.
Little Wings serves up the BRIT-winning singer-songwriter's soulful, heartfelt vocals, supported by the hymnal tones of Andy Platt and one of Morrison's childhood heroes, Connor Reeves. It also features a harmonica solo inspired by the legendary Stevie Wonder. Morrison said:
"This song was inspired by the joy my daughters bring me every morning, and the timeless music of Stevie Wonder, whom I’ve been listening to a lot recently, and throughout my life. It’s a heartfelt tribute to both Stevie and my daughters — capturing the warmth, love, and inspiration they give me. It’s one of my favourite tracks on the album."
The song is the third preview of 'Fight Another Day', Morrison's first standard studio release in six years, due out on October 3. He previously teased the record with the single The Man Who Can't Be Loved and the title track.
Morrison will support the LP with headline UK shows in September. Following that, he'll hit the road again in October for a series of English in-store dates, featuring acoustic sets and signing sessions. Tickets are on sale now.
