Deftones have laid out plans for their 10th studio album.
The follow-up to 2020's 'Ohms' is titled 'private music' and will arrive on August 22 via Reprise/Warner Records.
It was recorded in California, as well as Nashville, Tennessee, with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, who also worked with the alt-metal veterans on 2010's 'Diamond Eyes' and 2012's 'Koi No Yokan'.
To coincide with the announcement, the Sacramento Grammy-winners have shared the lead single from the record, my mind is a mountain, which blends heavy guitar riffs with vocalist Chino Moreno's signature emotive intensity.
The same day the record drops, Deftones will hit the road for a previously scheduled North American tour, featuring support from Phantogram, Idles, and the Barbarians of California. They'll also headline Shaky Knees Music Festival in Atlanta, Louder Than Life in Kentucky, and Aftershock Festival in their hometown, following two co-headlining shows with System Of a Down in Toronto on September 3 and 5. Tickets are on sale now.
They've also announced a return to arenas across Europe and the UK between January 29 and February 20, with shows confirmed in 15 cities, including Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, Dublin, and the O2 in London. Support on those dates will come from Denzel Curry and Drug Church, and tickets go on general sale at 9am local time next Friday (July 18).
