G Flip Confirms Autumn UK Shows As Part Of The Dream Ride World Tour

G Flip has announced The Dream Ride Tour.
The Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer will travel across North America between September 9 and November 6, kicking off the extensive run in Phoenix, Arizona and wrapping up in Los Angeles, California.
The UK leg of the tour will take place later in the autumn, with the Melbourne-born, Los Angeles-based artiist set to perform at the O2 Academy Birmingham, Manchester Academy, London's O2 Academy Brixton, Stylus at Leeds University, Cardiff University's Great Hall and O2 Academy Glasgow between November 10 and 16.
The Australian leg is scheduled for early next year, with shows lined up in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth between February 27 and March 14.
Tickets for their North American and UK dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (July 18). Tickets for the Australian run go on general sale at 1pm local time on July 21. Speaking about the UK leg of the tour, G said:
"I can’t wait to bring The Dream Ride Tour to the UK! The UK crowds have some of the best energies in the world so I’m stoked to coming back to party with you."
The tour announcement follows news of their third studio album, 'Dream Ride', which is due out on September 5 via AWAL Recordings. As a preview, G Flip has dropped a new single, In Another Life, an '80s-inspired, drum-driven ballad with synthy production. Press play below.
On the follow-up to 2023's 'Drummer' LP, G commented: "When diving in and writing this record, I was sonically captivated by the 80’s. I love the use of reverb, the drum tones, all the sonics, the musicality, the soloing, and big drum moments. I also really wanted to make a world to accompany the music and storytelling.
"I kept asking myself, 'Who would I have been in the 80's? What would I wear, what haircut would I have, and what car would I drive?' The answer is Butch Springsteen, the masc lesbian, non-binary, drumming, singing pop star that never existed.
"Doing a lot of late night driving to and from the studio, car themed lyrics kept pouring into the music, and the Dream Ride began. I also love old cars and totally wanted to drive a Barracuda around."
Before the tour kicks off, G Flip will appear at Montreal Pride, followed by appearances at both the Washington, DC and New York City editions of All Things Go Music Festival later this year.
