Hatebreed are back with their first new music in nearly five years.

Serving up Jamey Jasta's commanding vocals underpinned by thrashy riffs and rapid-fire beats, Make The Demons Obey marks the first new music from the Connecticut hardcore pioneers since their 2020 LP 'Weight Of The False Self'. Jasta said:

"Lots of bands say that their newest release will be their heaviest and I guess we are no different. We've managed to push the envelope and surpass our expectations. We've become tighter, harder and more vicious than ever. This is the most excited I've been for any Hatebreed release."

Drummer Matt Byrne added: "Very exciting things are happening in the Hatebreed camp. It's time to unleash this beast — new music is here! This is the fastest, most vicious, and most aggressive music we have ever created and I'm pumped for the world to hear it."

The track arrives in the wake of the band parting ways with long-time bassist Chris Beattie. Meanwhile, guitarist Wayne Lozniak is temporarily out of action as he prepares for surgery to remove a benign brain tumor.

In the meantime, the Grammy-nominated band are currently wrapping up the final US dates on their annual Summer Slaughter Tour, featuring support on select stops from Fugitive, Gridiron, Malevolence, Incite, Escuela Grind, and Snuffed On Sight.

Later in the year, they'll join Fit For An Autopsy and Decapitated as support for Killswitch Engage on nine dates across the UK and Ireland in October. Tickets are on sale now.
