Madi Diaz Announces New Album 'Fatal Optimist' And Accompanying North American Tour

Madi Diaz has laid out plans for her new album.
The follow-up to 2024's Grammy-nominated 'Weird Faith' is titled 'Fatal Optimist' and will arrive on October 10 via ANTI-. It saw her team up with new co-producer Gabe Wax at Infinite Family Studio in Southern California.
"Fatal Optimism is the innate hope for something magical," Diaz explained." It’s the weird faith that kicks in while knowing that there is just plain risk that comes with wanting someone or something. It’s when you have no control over the outcome, but still choose to experience every moment that happens, and put your whole heart in it."
The record is previewed by Feel Something, a delicate acoustic folk song that explores themes of emotional vulnerability with growing intensity. Diaz said:
"Feel Something is about the deep yearning and desire to connect. It’s the moment when you’re trying to call in the love that was lost. It’s the first single off the album because it has the sense of urgency and panic that I felt at that first moment I noticed I was alone in my relationship."
The American singer-songwriter and musician will support the LP with a North American tour in October and November. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (July 25).
