Suede have shared another single from their upcoming studio album.
Serving up their signature glam-tinged, guitar-led Britpop sound, Dancing With The Europeans marks the third preview of 'Antidepressants', due out on September 5 via BMG. Frontman Brett Anderson said:
"There's a sense of optimism about this song. I remember specifically we were doing a gig in Spain during the time we were writing this album. I was going through a bad time and at a low, personally. But we played this brilliant gig. There was a great connection between me and the audience. I thought of the phrase, dancing with the Europeans. There's something about that word, Europeans, that I really like. The phrase summed up the experience of looking for connection in a disconnected world. This sense of, where do we find those bonds with our fellow human beings? That show in Spain broke down those barriers."
Head below to view the track's accompanying video, directed by Chris Turner, who also helmed the promo for the lead single from the record, Disintegrate. The album will also include last month's single, Trance State.
Suede will celebrate the record's release with a special residency at London's Southbank Centre, beginning with two shows at the Royal Festival Hall on September 13 and 14, followed by an intimate off-mic performance at the Purcell Room on September 17. The takeover will conclude with their first full orchestral show with the Paraorchestra at Queen Elizabeth Hall on September 19.
They'll also perform at BBC Radio 2 In The Park at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on September 7, supporting headliners Def Leppard. Bryan Adams will headline the event the day before. Tickets are on sale now.
