Avery Tucker, formerly one half of duo Girlpool, has announced his debut solo album.

Recorded between Livingston in Montana and Encino in California, 'Paw' will arrive on October 10. Comprising 11 tracks co-produced with Alaska Reid and A.G. Cook, it also features contributions from collaborators Katie Gavin of MUNA on the track Angel, and Aaron Maine of Porches on Baby Broke. Speaking about working with Reid, Tucker said:

"She encouraged me to not shy away from the rawness I had written. Instead of dressing the songs in production, she pushed me to serve the spirit of the songs."

To coincide with the album's announcement, Tucker has shared the new single Like I'm Young, which serves up a stripped back arrangement that exposes emotional vulnerability. Tucker described it as, "probably one of the most emotionally raw songs I’ve ever written. There are lines in the song I remember writing and thinking "I won’t keep this in'. I decided to take this song to the edge of myself at the time, and whenever I play the song live I walk alongside that cliff within me and feel the height."

The song is paired with a Nick Vernet-directed video, in which Tucker performs the song in an empty room with a dog. Watch it below.

Tucker, who previously teased 'Paw' with the May single Big Drops, has also announced a show at Night Club 101 in New York City for September 4. Head here for tickets.

The album marks Tucker's first solo record following Girlpool's split in 2022. Girlpool bandmate Harmony Tividad returned earlier this year with the solo single Where Strangers Go, which she followed with Anything last month. She released her debut solo LP, 'Gossip', through her own Harmony's Fantasy Corp label last October.

2. Malibu
3. Knots
4. Rust
5. In The Smoke
6. Baby Broke
7. Big Drops
8. Sunkiss
