Trivium Announce 'Struck Dead' EP With New Single Bury Me With My Screams

Trivium have announced a new EP.
'Struck Dead'is a the three-track project that will arrive through the Florida metallers' long-time label Roadrunner Records on October 31.
To coincide with the news, the band have shared the EP's brutal first single, Bury Me With My Screams, which showcases their formidable metalcore aggression through ferocious riffs, bludgeoning vocals and knuckle-breaking drums straight out of the traps.
Self-produced and recorded with Mark Lewis, it marks the four-piece's first new song since the release of their latest album, 2021's 'In The Court Of The Dragon'. The EP, meanwhile, serves as their first body of work to be tracked at their new Hangar Studios in Orlando. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto said:
"In 2023, we decided it was finally time to take the next step with The Hangar space we purchased — it was time to turn it into a full studio. We brought in designer Roger D'Arcy, thanks to an introduction from Mark Lewis, and set out on a year-long build. While construction was underway, we were deep in rehearsals for The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour, celebrating Ascendancy's 20th anniversary. What started as an idea to release one single during the tour quickly grew into two, then three, as we kept writing while we were waiting for the build-out to be completed."
Gregoletto also revealed that Trivium will give Bury Me With My Screams its live debut tomorrow (August 8), when they headline Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire.
"During that time, the energy of revisiting Ascendancy started bleeding into these new songs," he continued. "Matt poured a lot of his personal struggles from the past year into the music, and we used the writing process as a cathartic release. Those sessions evolved into a three-song EP that we're incredibly proud of, and we can't wait to debut Bury Me With My Screams live at Bloodstock Open Air Festival."
Following their set at Bloodstock, Trivium will embark on a European tour that runs through to mid-August, before heading to North America for The Ascend Above the Ashes Tour between October and December, featuring support from Jinjer and Heriot (Jinjer won't be performing at stops in Minneapolis and Salt Lake City).
