Released via Sumerian Records, Specter deals in pared back and atmospheric, piano-led verses that allow singer Noah Sebastian's varied vocals to take centre stage. He moves effortlessly between impassioned clean (and sometimes falsetto) vocals to throat-shredding screams, while the band — completed by bassist and guitarist Nicholas Ruffilo, guitarist Joakim Karlsson and drummer Nick Folio — deliver an equally as impressive and expansive industrial-leaning alt-metal soundscape.
The track, which comes with a video directed by Sebastian and Nico that you can check out below, is the American quartet's first new material since their 2022 album, 'The Death Of Piece Of Mind'. They followed that up with 'Concrete Jungle [The OST]', which they called an "experimental extension" of its predecessor, as well as acting as a soundtrack to their Concrete Jungle comic universe.
Bad Omens next live shows will be US festival sets at Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 20 and Aftershock in Sacramento on October 4.
