Rise Against have shared a video for the title track of their upcoming album.
The eponymous track for 'Ricochet', due out through Loma Vista Recordings this Friday (August 15), is fuelled by the Chicago veterans' signature politically-charged punk-rock energy, and delivers a fist-in-the-air chorus. Singer-guitarist Tim Mcllrath said:
"When I was writing Ricochet, I couldn’t shake this image: people dancing while bombs and bullets careened overhead. That contrast — the obliviousness of joy against the backdrop of destruction — felt like the world we’re living in. The video brings that to life. It’s about more than action and reaction. It’s about how even our silence, even our detachment, carries weight. Every choice, every shrug, every shot fired — they all ricochet."
Previously, the band teased the follow-up to 2021's 'Nowhere Generation' with the singles I Want It All, Prizefighter, and Nod.
After summer festival appearances and a return to the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach last month, Rise Against will join forces again with Papa Roach for the fall North American leg of the California band's Rise of The Roach Tour. Tickets are on sale now.
