Rise Against have announced their first new album in four years.

The Chicago punk veterans will release 'Ricochet' through Loma Vista Recordings on August 15, following up 2021's 'Nowhere Generation', the 'Nowhere Sessions' EP, which arrived later that year, and 2022's 'Nowhere Generation II' EP.

Produced by Grammy-winner Catherine Marks, who has worked with Boygenius, Foals, and St. Vincent, it's previewed by the single I Want It All, which serves up the band's signature politically-charged punk-rock energy. Frontman Tim McIlrath said:

"The algorithm wants our attention so it is designed to make us laugh or cry, but mostly, it wants us to be angry, because that is how it spreads the furthest. Like a pile of marbles, hit hard. Who benefits from our anger? Questions we don't ask, as we fire away."

Earlier this year, Rise Against shared the singles Prizefighter and Nod, both of which also feature on the record.

Rise Against have a number of UK, European and US festival appearances in the diary throughout the summer, including a slot at Download in the UK next month. They will also be making a return to this year's Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach in July.

Later in the year, they'll reunite with Papa Roach for the fall North American leg of the California band's Rise of The Roach Tour. Tickets are on sale now.

'Ricochet' tracklist:

1. Nod
2. I Want It All
3. Ricochet
4. Damage Is Done
5. Us Against The World
6. Black Crown
7. Sink Like A Stone
8. Forty Days
9. State Of Emergency
10. Gold Long Gone
11. Soldier
12. Prizefighter
