Jessie J has rescheduled the UK and European leg of The No Secrets Tour.
The London singer, who this summer revealed she underwent surgery for breast cancer, has moved the dates from this autumn to next spring as she requires a second surgery, but in a short statement reassured fans it was "nothing too serious." She said:
"Unfortunately I have to have a second surgery - nothing too serious but it has to be done by the end of this year. This falls in the middle of the tour I had booked. I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad, but I need to be better, I need to be healed.”
She will now play shows in Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow between April 7 and 14. She'll then take a week-long break before performing in Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne and Paris on April 21, 22, 23 and 26, respectively. Original tickets are valid for the corresponding new date, and the remaining tickets are on sale now.
The US leg of the trek has been cancelled, with fans advised to refer to their point of purchase for refunds.
The tour takes its name from the powerhouse vocalist's spring single, No Secrets, which today she's followed up with the new song Believe In Magic. The latter is led by ethereal, finger-picked guitars, which are promptly joined by bass-heavy beats, all the while Jessie J delivers effortlessly soulful vocals. Introducing the track, she said:
"I wrote Believe in magic in 2022 when I was in my early pregnant months. I was breaking open and loving writing again. It was a deep hopeful loving feeling I wanted to put into a song. It resonates with me more now than perhaps it did then. That’s the beauty of music, it can travel in time. I love this song. I hope you (yes you) get the inspiration for your life in your own way. That’s my only hope for all my music. [🫀] [🪄]"
Despite the new material, there's currently still no update on a full-length follow-up to 2018's 'R.O.S.E.'.
