Happy Mondays will celebrate the 35th anniversary of 'Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches' with a UK tour next spring.
The legendary band that defined the Madchester movement will perform highlights from their 1990 third album, plus a selection of their hits and fan favourites, at 22 gigs between March 13 and April 24.
Stops include Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff, Liverpool, Sheffield, Cambridge, Southend, Norwich, Brighton, Bristol, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Margate, Guildford, Dublin and Belfast. The run also includes a performance at London's Roundhouse on March 27, a hometown show at Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse on April 11, and three nights at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom on April 16, 17 and 18.
Support will come from special guests The Farm and Northside, both of whom also featured on the bill for Happy Mondays' legendary concert at Elland Road in Leeds in 1991. Frontman Shaun Ryder said:
"I’m really looking forward to getting back on tour with the Mondays in 2026, especially with our old mates The Farm who are touring with us."
Bez added: "Really excited to be going back on tour again in the UK next year! I love being on the road with the Mondays, there is no better feeling than playing to the fans of live music. I'll see you all next year."
Tickets for all dates go on general sale at 9am on Friday (September 19).
The band's most recent studio album was 2007's 'Uncle Dysfunktional', which they released a new mix of in 2020. Last year, the dropped an EP titled 'Loose Fit (The Remixes)'.
Shaun's other band, Black Grape, which also features Paul Leveridge (aka Kermit), released the album 'Orange Head' last November. They'll celebrate 30 years of their debut LP 'It's Great When You're Straight, Yeah' with a UK tour this November and December. Tickets are on sale now.
