Beverly Glenn-Copeland has announced a new studio album.

'Laughter In Summer' will arrive on February 6 via Transgressive, following up the singer, composer, and transgender activist's 2023 LP 'The Ones Ahead'. Written and recorded with his partner, eco-poet, theatre actor and producer Elizabeth Copeland, who produced the album with musical director Alex Samaras, the new nine-song record also follows Glenn's 2024 diagnosis with LATE, a form of dementia.

To coincide with the album announcement, a pair of tracks have been released; the gentle and introspective opener Let Us Dance (Movement One), and Children's Anthem, a heartfelt reimagining of a song the couple originally wrote back in 2007 for an anti‑bullying event. Glenn and Elizabeth said:

"Let Us Dance holds deep personal meaning for us as a couple, and it's one of our most favourite songs to perform together. It's a gentle reminder that life invites us to embody joy through movement, no matter the circumstances, no matter how difficult the path. Originally published on Keyboard Fantasies, this choral rework features a newly minted Montreal choir that we met mere moments before recording Movement One. It's raw and honest – much the way we live our lives now.

"Children’s Anthem was one of our very first creative collaborations as a couple, originally written in 2007 for an anti-bullying conference. We're bringing it back on this new album with a fresh arrangement dedicated to our precious granddaughter Freya. We hope it will serve as a rally cry to support and protect all the children of the world. At a time when violence has become endemic, this song and its message is more critical than ever."

Glenn and Elizabeth kicked off a run of UK and European tour dates with a performance in Dublin last night (October 7). They also have shows scheduled in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver for December and January, before an appearance at Primavera Sound Barcelona in June. Tickets are on sale now.

Last year, Glenn collaborated with Sam Smith on a new version of Ever New, a track from Glenn's 1986 album 'Keyboard Fantasies'. The reworked song was recorded for the 'TRAИƧA: Selects' compilation celebrating the trans/non-binary community.
