Billy Ocean has announced a new outdoor UK show for the summer.
The Grammy-winning singer will be joined by special guest and Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow at Cannock Chase Forest in Staffordshire on June 24 as part of the Forest Live series. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (November 14).
The show will form part of Ocean's previously announced summer tour plans, which include two performances in Halifax as part of Live At The Piece Hall series, as well as shows at Leigh Sports Village Stadium in Greater Manchester, Live At Lincoln Castle, Southampton's Guildhall Square for the Summer Sessions and Live At Llangollen Pavilion in Wales.
He'll also play Scarborough Open Air Theatre on June 28, Cardiff Castle's Depot Live concert series on July 9, Sandown Racecourse in Surrey for the Jockey Club Live series on July 29, and the Colchester Castle Summer Series on August 20. Pellow will support on all dates except for the Jockey Club Live date. Tickets are on sale now.
The 75-year-old will perform hits from across his six-decade career, including Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run), Suddenly, and Red Light Spells Danger. His most recent studio album, 'One World', arrived in 2020.
Ocean also has US dates in the diary for next spring. Tickets for those dates are on sale.
