Bowling For Soup (pictured) and Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls have confirmed outdoor co-headline UK shows for next summer.
The Texas pop-punk legends and British folk-punk royalty will kick off the UK leg of The Bowl My Bones Tour on the South Coast, co-headlining the Margate Summer Series on June 25. After that, they'll play a Summer Sessions gig at Southampton's Guildhall Square on June 26, headline Live At Lincoln Castle on June 27 and perform at the O2 Academy Glasgow on June 29.
They'll then visit Halifax for Live At The Piece Hall on June 30, Scarborough Open Air Theatre on July 2, Live At Llangollen Pavilion in Wales the next, and Cardiff Castle for Depot Live on July 4, before wrapping things up with an Eden Sessions gig at the Eden Project, St. Austell on July 5. Turner said:
"I love summer, I love touring, and I really love Bowling For Soup. So let’s cut to the chase and do them all at the same time! These shows are going to be a lot of fun, I’m honoured to be part of the adventure."
Bowling For Soup's frontman Jaret Reddick commented: "Discovering Frank Turner's music happened at an important time in my life. I needed it, but I didn't know how much. Now, many years later, I get to call him friend, and touring with him and The Sleeping Souls in his home country of the UK seems unreal to me. I think these are going to be special Summer nights that none of us will forget! Stoked!!!"
The announcement follows news of the Australian leg of the tour next May, which rolls through Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Frankston and Adelaide, before concluding in Fremantle on May 11.
Pre-sale tickets for all dates, except their Glasgow and Eden Sessions shows, go live via Ticketmaster from 10am on Thursday (November 27), ahead of general sale at 10am on Friday (November 28). Their Eden Sessions gig goes on sale at 3pm on December 1. Tickets for their Australian shows are on sale now.
Earlier this month, Bowling For Soup released a cover of Taylor Swift's Actually Romantic and an updated version of Endless Possibility — the main theme song from the 2008 video game Sonic Unleashed — featuring Wheatus and Punk Rock Factory.
Last month, they shared Holding On To That Hate, their first original song since 2022's 'Pop Drunk Snot Bread'. Since then, they've dropped a covers record, 'Don't Mind If We Do', a compilation titled 'Songs People Actually Liked, Vol. 2 - The Next Six Years (2004-2009)', and a lullaby album.
More recently, they released the live records 'A Hangover You Definitely Deserve…Live', 'Stoked On Trent (Live)', and a deluxe edition of their eighth album 2011's 'Fishin' For Woos'.
They'll perform at Neon City Festival in Las Vegas this weekend before closing out the year with a performance at the OVO Arena Wembley on December 13, their first headline show at a London arena, and the largest of their career. Early next year, they're also scheduled to appear at Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona.
Turner, meanwhile, released his 10th studio album, 'Undefeated', in May 2024, which was followed by an acoustic version. This summer, he put out a live record of his milestone 3000th gig that took place at London's Alexandra Palace back in February. That was followed by this month's 'The Next Ten Years' collection, a sequel to his 2015 'The First Ten Years' box set, showcasing rare tracks and b-sides spanning his studio albums of 2015 to 2024.
