Black Label Society have announced their 12th album.
The follow-up to 2021's 'Doom Crew Inc' is titled 'Engines Of Demolition' and will arrive on March 27 via Spinefarm.
Frontman Zakk Wylde started writing the album in 2022 while on his Pantera Celebration World Tour and wrapped it last year. He shared:
"'Engines of Demolition’ is a sincere ride through the peaks and valleys of the last four years from start to finish, some of the highest highs and lowest lows and everything in between."
It'll include the band's three previously released singles, Broken And Blind, Lord Humungus, and The Gallows, along with a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne titled Ozzy's Song, which comes as no surprise given Wylde's long-standing ties to the Prince of Darkness.
Wylde was Ozzy's guitarist from the late '80s onward, first appearing on Ozzy's 1988 album 'No Rest For The Wicked'. He also performed alongside the icon during his final performance at Black Sabbath's Back To The Beginning concert last summer.
"I didn't think after we got done doing 'Mama' and 'Crazy Train' and everything like that [that] this is going to be the last time we're ever going to play or I'm ever going to see Sabbath again," Wylde said. "I just figured we're going to hook up again when Ozzy's doing another record. He'd say, 'Come on down and do your diddly diddly on it' or whatever, you know?"
The record's opening track, Name In Blood, is set to arrive tomorrow (January 14), according to a recent post by Wylde on X.
Black Label Society will support the LP with a North American tour in the spring, followed by European dates, including shows in Glasgow, London and Bournemouth in late May. They'll also play the UK's Bloodstock Festival in August.
Support on the North American leg will come from Wylde's Black Sabbath tribute band Zakk Sabbath and Dark Chapel. The UK dates will feature Venom Inc, who join Thrown Into Exile, Sacred Reich, Thunder Mother, and Metal Church as support on select dates in various regions across mainland Europe.
Tickets for the UK dates go on general sale at 9am on Friday (January 16), with North American shows already on sale. Ticket details for the European dates are still to be fully confirmed.
