Rachel Chinouriri Announces New Album 'I Think I Spoke Too Soon' And London And Dublin Shows

Rachel Chinouriri has announced her second album.
The BRIT-nominated artist will release 'I think I spoke too soon' through Parlophone/Atlas Artists on October 16, following 2024's 'What a Devastating Turn of Events' and last year’s 'Little House' EP. The project is described as the singer-songwriter's way of giving herself and others permission to fall, grow, change and learn while navigating the ups and downs of life. She explained:
“My core thing is you can change who you are at any moment and you can forgive yourself at any moment. And I think forgiving yourself is the first step in becoming a better person."
Written and recorded in London, Hereford and Los Angeles, the album features collaborations with APOB, Mary Weitz, Glen Roberts, Daniel Hylton-Nuamah, Lucy Dacus and Eli Teplin. It's previewed by the first single, One song away from crying, a groove-led synth-pop offering that arrives alongside a video directed by Dora Paphide. Chinouriri said: "One song away from crying is about the precipice of a night out where you know you need toleave and have to make a decision. It’s a deeper decision because it’s less about the night itself but more about a reflection of a deeper internal conflict with your self value that you haven’t looked at yet…"

The singer-songwriter is set to play Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival next month and joins Gracie Abrams on tour in the US in December. She has also announced new shows in Los Angeles and New York next month, dates in London and Dublin as part of a short European tour in September, and shows in Sydney and Melbourne in February.
Tickets for her US dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (July 31), while Australian tickets go on sale at 10am local time on August 6, followed by UK and Ireland tickets at 10am local time on August 7.
