Rachel Chinouriri Previews 'I Think I Spoke Too Soon' With Second Single Make Believe

Rachel Chinouriri has released another track from her upcoming second album.
A dark, shimmering alt-pop track, Make believe explores self-worth and knowing your value in a relationship, while offering another glimpse into 'I think I spoke too soon', following earlier single One song away from crying. Chinouriri explained:
“Make believe is about a side to me that I believe to be empowering, but really I’m masking my insecurities and betraying my self worth with obsession. Though it’s more sensual feeling, it’s actually about never holding my own boundaries and allowing someone who clearly hates me to have access to me at any moment."
The BRIT-nominated artist will release the follow-up to 2024's 'What A Devastating Turn Of Events' and last year’s 'Little House' EP on October 16 via Parlophone/Atlas Artists.
It's already been a busy year for the singer-songwriter, who has has supported Florence + The Machine in the US and Ireland, played with Wolf Alice at London’s Finsbury Park, performed at New York's Governors Ball, All Things Go Toronto and Bonnaroo in Tennesee. Most recently, she appeared at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival alongside Chappell Roan, Doechii, Stevie Nicks and more.
She'll wrap up her current headline run in Berlin, Germany on Wednesday (September 16), having already played in Los Angeles and New York, with dates in London, Dublin and Brussels postponed due to illness. After that, she'll join Gracie Abrams on tour in the US in December before heading to Australia for headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne in February. Tickets are on sale now.
If all that isn't enough, Chinouriri will also appear as the musical guest on episode three of the new series of SNL UK, joining guest host Amelia Dimoldenberg on September 26.
