More names have been announced for Tom Morello's star-studded Power To The People all-dayer in Columbia, Maryland next month.
Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Nathaniel Rateliff, Stephen Stills, State Radio, and The Last Internationale are among the latest batch of acts confirmed to appear at Merriweather Post Pavilion on October 3. Morello's 15-year-old son, actor and musician Roman, along with Jack Black, will also play the event under the name Jack Sabbath.
They join previously announced acts Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Jack Black, Dropkick Murphys, Cypress Hill and Killer Mike, The Pretty Reckless vocalist Taylor Momsen, System Of A Down's Serge Tankian, Daryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels, Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard, The Linda Lindas, as well as the Rage Against The Machine guitarist. There will also be an appearance by special guest Bruce Springsteen.
Despite the event's official description as “a non-partisan celebration of peace, justice, solidarity, music, and community action,” several of the confirmed acts on the line-up have publicly expressed their opinions on the current Trump administration in the United States.
Tickets for Power To The People are on sale now, with a portion of the sales from VIP tickets goinig to VoteRiders and Headcount, which help Americans register to vote and understand the voting process.
Tom Morello (pictured) will release a new solo album titled 'Everyone Gets Everything They Want' on September 25 via Mom+Pop Music. It'll include the recently shared singles Adjourn It, which features Roman and Tankian, and Date Night.
Ahead of performing at Power To The People, he'll play Louder Than Life festival in Louisville this weekend.
