Born in Georgia and moving to Northern Ireland at the age of 8, the singer and songwriter released her first material at the age of just 19. What a debut it was with her first album, ‘Call Off The Search’, claiming the top spot in the UK album chart and selling 1.8 million copies within the first five months of its release. Since then she had release two more studio albums, ‘Piece by Piece’ and ’Pictures’ which have also both been a huge success.
The new tour is to promote Katie’s as yet untitled fourth album, which is set for release in May. The star has reportedly teamed up with songwriters Guy Chambers, probably best known for his work with Robbie Williams, and Rick Nowels, and also producer William Orbit, for the album. Orbit announced his excitement for the project via his Twitter page writing. "This is shaping up to be one of the finest things I've ever been involved with. I am hearing what can only be described as magic."
The Nine Million Bicycles star will be performing at 13 dates in the UK kicking off at the Manchester Apollo on December 4th and finishing off at Bristol’s Colston Hall on December 21st.
Tickets for the concerts will be available from January 22nd.
