Slash Reveals Tracklisting & Guest Line Up For New Album

Guitar legend Slash has revealed the tracklisting and guest line-up for his upcoming solo album.

The former Guns N Roses guitarist and one of the most iconic rock stars of all time, Slash, has been wandering the world for the last fifteen years since departing Axl Rose and Co. A guitar man for hire, he went on to form Velvet Revolver with several other former Guns N Roses bandmates.

In 2008 Velvet Revolver split and with Slash still eager to record he began working on a new solo album. Sending out a message to involve some all star backing, the Californian axe man has spent a huge amount of time working on the anticipated new material which features a mouth watering cast.

Set for a release date in April, Slash has announced more information about the new album. Self-titled ‘Slash’, it will feature some true rock royalty including Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bass player Flea and punk pioneer Iggy Pop.

If that wasn’t enough to excite fans, former Guns N Roses guitarist Duff McKagan and Them Crooked Vultures drummer Dave Grohl will feature, aswell as Black Sabbath’s Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne lending some guest Brummie croon to the all star affair.

The album is certainly going to be an eclectic piece with artists from a variety of different genres are mixed around each other. Motorhead frontman Lemmy is due to appear alongside the rather more clean-cut Adam Levine from American softies Maroon 5. What!?? In addition to this odd pairing, famously debauched former member of Queens Of The Stone Age Nick Olivieri is to appear next to reformed shock rocker Alice Cooper. Hardcore rap stars Cypress Hill were also involved in the recording sessions but are not set to appear on the album.

The tracklisting for 'Slash' is as follows:

'Ghost' (featuring Ian Astbury)
'Beautiful Dangerous' (featuring Fergie)
'Nothing To Say' (featuring M Shadows)
'Crucify The Dead' (featuring Ozzy Osbourne)
'Promise' (featuring Chris Cornell)
'By The Sword' (featuring Andrew Stockdale)
'Doctor Alibi' (featuring Lemmy)
'Saint Is A Sinner Too' (featuring Rocco De Luca)
'Watch This' (featuring Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan)
'I Hold On' (featuring Kid Rock)
'Gotten' (featuring Adam Levine)
'We're All Gonna Die' (featuring Iggy Pop)
'Starlight' (featuring Myles Kennedy)
