Celebrating all things folk and rock, in the past the likes of Alice Cooper, Robert Plant, Status Quo, Lindisfarne, Rick Wakeman, Toyah & Robert Fripp, Peat & Diesel, Beans On Toast, 10cc and Buzzcocks have graced the bill. The festival began after folk-rock band Fairport Convention split in 1979, playing a farewell show in Cropredy. A year later, they decided to reconvene with some friends for what would become their annual reunion. Fairport Cropredy Convention will return to Banbury in August 2025, featuring Fairport Convention, Martin Barre, The Trevor Horn Band, Albert Lee and many more.
