Hipsway are a Scottish new-wave band from Glasgow, featuring Johnny McElhone, Grahame Skinner, Pim Jones, Harry Travers, Stephen Ferrera and Gary Houston.

Formed in 1984, the band signed to Mercury Records, and released their self-titled debut album in 1986, which included the hit single, The Honeythief. The band’s second LP, ‘Scratch the Surface’, followed in 1989, and shortly after its release, the band split.

They reformed in 2016 for two headline shows at Glasgow’s O2 ABC and in 2018, they put out 'Smoke and Dreams', their first album in 30 years.

On-sale dates are listed on our event pages for each show. For some shows we may have ticket pre-sales available before the general sale. You can also sign up for Hipsway tour notifications and ticket reminders to get alerted when additional shows are added or when tickets go on sale. If a specific Hipsway event is 'Sold Out', that means no official primary tickets are currently available from the organiser at face value. However, you may still be able to find tickets through our official fan-to-fan resale and secondary reseller marketplace partners listed on our event pages.

Age restrictions are set by the venue and vary for each event. Most arena and stadium shows allow children over 5 years old to attend, as long as they are accompanied by an adult but variations to this policy do occur. Some standing only venues (such as O2 Academies and Concert Halls) will allow over 14's to attend with an adult. Please check the event details page, and the official ticket seller, for specific information.

We recommend arriving at least 60 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for entry, security checks, and finding your seat. Door times are listed on the ticket.
