Jill Scott is an American singer-songwriter and actress hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born in 1972, she has become a major figure over the past 15 years, thanks to her unique brand of soul and R&B that has helped her shift over four million records in the US alone.

Releasing her debut record in 2000 via Epic Records, Scott would soon find fame across the world, earning herself a platinum disc in the process. Since then, she’s unleashed four more LPs, including her latest slice, 2015's 'Woman'.
