Malcolm Middleton is a guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with the Scottish alt-rock band Arab Strap.
With the band, he put out six studio albums over ten years before splitting amicably in 2006. They reformed briefly for some 20th anniversary concerts in 2016, and played a handful of international festivals in 2017.
Middleton continued to write and perform as a solo artist, and has released a further six albums! His debut as a solo artist came in 2002, '
5:14 fluoxytine seagull alcohol john nicotine', followed by 2005's 'Into The Woods', 'A Brighter Beat' in 2007, 'Sleight of Heart' and 'Waxing Gibbous the proceeding years, and his latest, 'Summer of '13' in 2016.
Middleton also records under the moniker HUMAN DON'T BE ANGRY, and has dropped two albums and an EP under this name.
Back as his own name, Middleton has confirmed UK December dates surrounding an upcoming album 'Bananas', which is due for release in September 2018.
