Nervus are a British punk band from Watford, featuring Em Foster, Paul Etienne, Karl Woods and Jack Kenny.
Formed in 2014 as the project of Em Foster, the band released their debut album, ‘Permanent Rainbow’, in November 2016 via via Venn Records, and followed this up with 'Everything Dies' in March 2018.
They've headlien their own torus around the UK as well as co-headlining a tour with the Kamikaze Girls.

The title of Nervus’s sophomore album belies an optimistic streak. ‘Everything Dies’ suggests a bleak outlook and little hope of consolation, but throughout the record vocalist and guitarist Em Foster discusses acceptance, both personal and societal, alongside some frank words about insecurity and the damage done by preconceptions.

E.E. Cummings’ poem Nobody Loses All The Time tells the tale of Uncle Sol, who despite being “born a failure” still manages to rack up several attempts at success before drowning himself in a water tank. In death, though, he brings about new life. It’s a posthumous, ironic win for a chronic loser: “Somebody pressed a button (and down went my Uncle Sol and started a worm farm).”
