Daniel Lopatin, better known by his stage and recording name Oneohtrix Point Never, is an American composer and producer of experimental electronic music from Massachusetts.
He began recording under this moniker in the mid-2000s after becoming involved in Brooklyn's noise scene, drawing on synthesizer music and '80s new age tropes. After his debut album ' Betrayed In The Octagon' in 2007, Lopatin received some acclaim for the 2009 compilation 'Rifts', which collected his early limited LP and cassette releases. He went on to release six more albums and a handful of mixtapes too, the latest being the 2018 full length 'Age Of', which was released through Warp Records.
He's also done loads mroe - collaborating with the likes of Anohni, DJ Earl, FKA Twigs, Iggy Pop, David Byrne and more, as well as having composed various soundtracks.
