He began recording under the moniker in the mid-2000s after becoming involved in Brooklyn's noise scene, drawing on synthesiser music and '80s new age tropes. He has gone on to release 10 studio albums—the most recent being 2023's 'Again'—as well as several other compilation and remix records. He has also composed various soundtracks, as well as having collaborated with a number of high-profile artists include Anohni, FKA Twigs, Iggy Pop, David Byrne and more.
