Roni Size is an English drum and bass and electronic music producer and DJ from Bristol and known for tracks like Brown Paper Bag.
Starting his music career in 1988, as a member of Reprazent, a drum and bass collective, the group released the album, ‘New Forms’ in 1997, which won the Mercury Prize. He then released, ‘Ultra-Obscene’, with Breakbeat Era, in 1999, before returning to Reprazent for, ‘In the Møde’ in 2000 and ‘New Forms²’ in 2008. He released his debut solo album, ‘Touching Down’ in 2002, which was followed by ‘Return To V’, in 2004 and ‘Take Kontrol’ in 2014. He released his latest album, ‘Past & Present’, in 2016 with DJ Krust.
He has headlined his own shows and tours across the UK and USA and performed at festivals such as Bestival, Glastonbury, Lovebox and Coachella. In 2009, played a gig with an orchestra and choir to mark the reopening of Bristol’s Colston Hall.
