The Bluetones are an English indie rock band from Hounslow, London, consisting of Mark Morriss, Adam Devlin, Scott Morriss, and Eds Chesters.
Formed in 1993, The Bluetones hit the #1 spot with their debut album, 'Expecting To Fly', in 1996. They went on to release a further five albums, two of which ‘Return to the Last Chance Saloon’, in 1998 and ‘Science & Nature’, in 2000, both reached the Top Ten in the UK Albums Chart as well. Their last release, ‘A New Athens’, was released in 2010.
Embarking on a farewell tour in 2011, it seemed as though The Bluetones were gone for good, however, they reunited in 2015 to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The tour was extended throughout the year, including summer shows and a stint at Derby Arena alongside Happy Mondays.
Now, the Britpoppers will head out for spring shows in 2018 - under the banner ‘The First Decade: 1995-2005’ - in Portsmouth, Exeter, Bristol, Oxford, Glasgow, Blackburn, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, York, London and Norwich.
