The Faces are an English rock band hailing from London. Formed in 1969, the group most famously consisted of Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Kenney Jones, and the late Ian McLagan, with Ronnie Lane playing bass until Tetsu Yamauchi took over in '73.
Quickly becoming one of rock's biggest bands, The Faces would smash out four full records in their half-decade span, finding most success with their 1971 hit 'A Nod Is as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse', which reached #2 in the UK and #6 Stateside.
Clocking in a #1 with their final effort, 'Ooh La La', The Faces would bow out in 1975, following years as one of the highest-grossing touring bands, and see its members head on to successful solo careers.
In recent years, there have been reunions, however with Ronnie Lane and Ian McLagan sadly no longer with us, and Rod Stewart eventually deciding against it, Mick Hucknall has stepped in as lead vocalist, and Glen Matlock over on bass.
But, The Faces fans will be ecstatic to hear that in September 2015, Stewart will be joining Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones for a short set at Rock 'N' Horsepower, in support of Prostate Cancer UK. Get tickets below!
